Dr. Berman has been working as a sex educator and therapist for 18 years and is considered a thought leader in her field. She has appeared in the pages of nearly every major publication and on radio and television, including the Oprah Winfrey Show, the Today show, Fox News, CNN the New York Times, USA Today, Glamour, Elle, and Ladies’ Home Journal. Dr. Berman is also the star of the hit show Sexual Healing, a Showtime original documentary series that closely follows real-life couples through a week in therapy with her at the Berman Center. Dr. Berman is a columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times and coauthor of the New York Times best seller For Women Only: A Revolutionary Guide to Overcoming Sexual Dysfunction and Reclaiming Your Sex Life and Secrets of the Sexually Satisfied Woman: Ten Keys to Unlocking Ultimate Pleasure. Her latest book, The Passion Prescription, was released in February 2006.

After obtaining a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and a doctorate in Health Education and Therapy (specializing in human sexuality) at New York University, Dr. Berman went on to complete a training fellowship in Sexual Therapy in the Department of Psychiatry at New York University Medical Center.
